The 1990’s of Video Gaming an era that I consider a great golden age.
Growing up in the 1990’s and playing games that were made in the 80’s truly hold a special place in my heart as I grew up. I started on one of the most iconic systems around, The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) Super Mario Bros 1 & 3, Kung Fu, Built to Win. This is what I started out with and played them a lot just to be able to master them. I mostly stuck with the marios, That was my favorite #3 caught a hold of me too I was so wrapped up and immersed into the music iconic for it’s time.
I was able to have the NES in my own room as later on also the Nintendo 64 would be in our living room (of course after I took full control of that) there wasn’t really a limit on how much NES I could play but also my parents would not let me be totally consumed into playing games 24/7. The NES is where it really all started for me, Just I guess the aspect of being involved playing something on the tv battling, working hard just to make it to the next area or the next level, Truly an adventure for bakc in the day.
I’ll talk briefly in this post about the N64 because that is where it all took off for me. I got it Christmas 1995 with Super Mario 64 & Mario Kart 64, Little did I know at the time that these would be the best days of my gaming ahead of me. Ocarina of Time comes into play, Mario Party, Castlevania, The adventure was all just beginning and my mind of living and experiencing a world of video games was coming into it’s own.
Great days that I cherish forever! Please let me know down in the comments below your start at video games and the memories you have. I will in the future talk more on the NES, N64, and the games that I have played with it.
